My name is José Paz, I am a Hispanic architect with base in the Chicago area. I founded the company Escala Corp. in 2007. At that time I worked for the firm Warren Johnson Architects and started operations for the request of a contractor that required support to make their estimates. That contractor was a member of the Catholic Church of Holy Spirit in Schaumburg, IL where I served as a catechist and minister of communion. What started as a ministry or social service, ended up being a professional service that began to absorb my full time, by recommending this with other contractors. It was then, in response to the ongoing service demand, that I founded together with my wife, who at that time was working as an accountant, the company Escala Corp. so that we could dedicate ourselves fully to our clients, as well as to the study and service of the Catholic Church, where I was ordained Permanent Deacon in 2013 by Cardinal Francis George.The initial contractor known as MJS Drywall and Taping is still our client today, as are most of the recommended contractors, since we deliver the estimates on time and have developed a system that has made us very successful in our calculations and criteria, and with this we support contractors who have been in business for years, even in difficult times, and this is one of our greatest prides. Our estimation service has been extended in a range that includes carpentry, concrete, partition and finishes. We are focused on analyzing in a professional manner the construction costs of each new project that is entrusted to us to empower our clients with prices that allow them to negotiate and obtain new contracts, by placing them in a competitive position that is beneficial and attractive for them as well as for your customers.
